[210] 6 years, 12 employees, and $1 mil revenue… the inspirational story of Popov Leather.

Imagine starting a business because you just wanted to make yourself the perfect wallet… and then looking back 6 years later to discover that you’ve got 12 employees, 2 children, and over a million dollars in revenue?
 That’s the position that my guest today – Ryan Popov – finds himself in – and as he stated himself in the podcast, he never dreamt he’d be where he is today when he was perfecting that wallet for himself 6 years ago.

His business has been incredibly successful in a relatively short timeframe, and in this episode he shares:

how (and why) his business has grown so quickly;
how he and his wife (who is equal partner) balance work and family;
the differences between selling on Etsy and on his own website;
how he and his wife took the leap from being employed to full-time self-employment;
the marketing strategies that have worked for him, and much more.
 I had so much fun chatting to Ryan for this episode – he’s clearly passionate about his craft, and about his business, and I hope you enjoy listening to his story as much as I did!

[200] An Interview with Jess’ Husband Nick – His Side of the Creative Journey

Have you ever wanted to hear the other side of the story?
What’s it like to be the partner of a creative entrepreneur?

What’s it like working full-time with your spouse in your business?

Who does the washing? (Spoiler: not Jess.)

We answer all these questions and more in this special, 200th episode of the Create & Thrive Podcast, where I interview my husband and right-hand-man, Nick Bianchi, on the show!

I did a call-out for questions… and boy, did you all deliver! So I asked, he answered, and we bantered about our experience working together and sharing all aspects of our lives over the last decade – since before Epheriell even began.

We had a lot of fun recording this, so I hope you enjoy listening to Nick’s experiences, and this glimpse ‘behind the curtain’ of a self-employed couple.

[134] Sharing Our Success Stories

    Hey Thriver! This little episode is more of an introduction and invitation than anything else. I’m going to start a new series of episodes on the podcast sharing the stories of successful makers.   These aren’t interviews – they...
