{Video Tutorial} How to Use Canva to Make a Banner for your Etsy Shop (or Anywhere Else).

Do you want to easily and quickly create an awesome banner for your Etsy shop (or any other shop or website)?

I’ve got you covered.

In this video, I show you – step-by-step – how to use Canva (a free, intuitive, and web-based graphic design program that I ADORE) to create an Etsy banner in less than 10 minutes.

You can use Canva to create any graphic you need for the web – I use it all the time to make graphics for this blog, my instagram, pinterest, and more. I also use it to make my Facebook and twitter covers (they have a template for both… and for heaps of other things) because it’s just so quick and easy to use.

If you make something with Canva after watching this, make sure to share it with us in the comments – I’d love to check out your creations!

P.S. I’m going to be making more of these video tutorials. I’d love to know what you think – and if there’s anything you’d like to see a tutorial on, please let me know in the comments below.

Oh Jess, you totally saved the day! I’ve had the same, boring old Facebook cover photo for years – I’ve had “update FB cover photo” on my to-do list almost as long… but never knew how to tackle it. You and helped big time, and I couldn’t be happier with my fancy-shmancy new cover photo!

Check out my handiwork here:

Wow, that looks FAB Nikki!

Nice work Bec! 🙂

Hi Jess, great simple tutorial on how to use Canva! I’ve been using it for about a year after the lovely Pip Lincolne pointed it out – I couldn’t do SM without it now. I’ve been using it for FB, but stupid me tried doing my Etsy banner in Photoshop – I think I know what I’ll be doing today!

Hi Jess, thanks for telling me about this site. I had a dodgy one I made up on picmonkey, 20 minutes on canva and I have a much nicer one.

Hi Jess, thanks for sharing, I took time out to sign up & have a go today and will definitely be using Canva again. We don’t have an etsy shop, so I’ve had a little go at using it on our Facebook page, can see it livening things up wonderfully, thanks again.

Hi Jess, I tried using Canva to do up my Facebook banner and it was a breeze thanks to your video! But somehow I noticed that the quality of the pictures became degraded very slightly when I uploaded the banner to Facebook. Here is my page:

I used this to make a header for my site (which is not launched yet), but I can’t seem to just use the text, I don’t want the white background, is there a way to delete this? or just use the text? I love the fonts that I chose, but I just want to use the text. HELP

I don’t know if you can make the background transparent using canva – might be only available for the paid version.

What say you?
