[61] Why Isn’t My Marketing Working?


This episode takes a look at how the fundamentals of your business could be hindering the success of your marketing.

So often I hear people asking, in frustration ‘I’m posting on Instagram and Facebook all the time, but I’m still not selling anything! Why?!’. I hear you. It’s maddening, exasperating, and exhausting. But chances are, there IS a reason.

If you are consistently working at your marketing, but you’re still not seeing any results, there’s most likely a more fundamental problem that is more about the foundations of your business than the frequency of your Facebook posts.

Chances are, you need to stop focusing on marketing your business, and instead, take a step back to first principles.

To be brutally honest – if you aren’t clear on your business brand; if you don’t have products in the ‘sweet spot’; if you don’t know who your ideal customer is, and therefore who you’re talking to; if you don’t have amazing product photos that reflect your brand personality and show your products clearly and beautifully; and if you’re not projecting an aura of professionalism – it’s likely that no matter how hard you work on your marketing, people will pass you by because your business isn’t cohesive and clear.

In this episode, I discuss the business fundamentals you need to focus on before you spend buckets of time or money on your marketing, to make sure you’re on-point, and your marketing is both reaching the right people, and speaking in a voice that will resonate with them.
