Monday Viewing: Tina Roth Eisenberg – 5 Rules for Making an Impact

Tina Roth Eisenberg: 5 Rules for Making an Impact from 99U on Vimeo.

I love this talk by Tina Roth Eisenberg (otherwise known as Swissmiss). In it, she outlines her personal 5 rules for making an impact – and they’re not perhaps what you’d expect.

She discusses how the birth of her first child really made her stop and take stock of who she was and what she was doing – and was the kick in the butt she needed to really pursue work she loved (to the point that she actually launched her own design studio the VERY DAY her daughter was born!).

I particularly like her first rule. I think my Superpower is Enthusiastic Experimentation (as much as I’d LOVE my superpower to actually be flight…). The success I’ve enjoyed in all areas of my life has come from this dogged yet playful outlook I have – everything can be experimented with. If it works, great! If not, try something else. If something is making you unhappy, change it! Life is never boring because there’s always the next thing to tinker with…

What’s your superpower?
